Vostochnaya Stevedoring Company expands its network with two new services to China
Vostochnaya Stevedoring Company (“VSC”, a Global Ports Group company) has started handling new container services connecting the terminal in the Russian Port of Vostochny to the Chinese ports of Qingdao and Ningbo. The services are operated by INTECO LINES, a marine line of INTECO freight forwarding company.
The new weekly connections are designed for transportation of import and export cargoes. The Qingdao – VSC route is operated with the SHUN YUE19 vessel with a capacity of 489 TEU. The delivery time is four days. Two other vessels, SHUN YUE13 with a capacity of 264 TEU, and SHUN YUE18 with a capacity of 264 TEU, call VSC terminal bringing cargoes on the route VSC – Ningbo. The time en route is five days.
Additionally, INTECO LINES plans to increase vessel capacity on the new services, as well as expand the connectivity via VSC, including the launch of a regular service to Shenzhen (China).
Igor Pukhov, CCO of Global Ports, commented:
“The launch of the new weekly connections between VSC and China’s major ports Qingdao and Ningbo will meet the growing demand for import from Asia to Russia via the Far East. It will also provide new opportunities for export cargo from Russia on the Asian routes. I would like to thank INTECO LINES for trusting Global Ports. I am confident that the new connections will be in demand, and the high standard of service will ensure seamless and fast cargo handling at VSC terminal.”
Artyom Grishan, CEO of INTECO, noted:
“China has become the first international destination for INTECO LINES. Ensuring comfort of our customers at all stages is of great importance for us. We have chosen VSC as our partner since it is one of the top-notch and efficient container terminals in Russia. Together, we will build new logistics solutions and expand the route network to promptly meet customers' needs in a changing market.”
The new INTECO LINES services complement existing services calling VSC and connecting the port of Vostochny with the largest ports of China and other Asia-Pacific countries.
