VSC Launches Regular Services for Primorye 1 Transport Corridor
Vostochnaya Stevedore Company finished handling a batch of Chinese transit containers that arrived through an international Primorye 1 transport corridor. Two container trains arrived at VSC by rail from Suifenhe (China) via Grodekovo border crossing point. Time in transit of containers by rail from the originating station to the terminal was less than 24 hours.
Both trains were handled by the terminal on the day of their arrival. The total batch was 126 TEUs. After unloading containers were placed in a temporary storage facility pending execution of documents and formation of a shipload to be subsequently shipped by sea to the Port of Busan in South Korea. Shipment is scheduled for Monday 17 August.
Containers are expected to be delivered by rail along the key route of the international Primorye 1 transport corridor Suifenhe – Vostochnaya Stevedore Company on a weekly basis.
According to VSC’s Managing Director Alexander Dudko, VSC is a key facility for handling transit cargo in the Primorye 1 transport corridor. The terminal’s infrastructure is fully ready for operation, and is capable of handling a potentially increased cargo flow arriving from the north-eastern regions of China.
