Petrolesport
Petrolesport (“PLP”) is the second largest container terminal in Russia by gross throughput(1) and is located in the Big Port of St. Petersburg, Russia’s primary gateway for container cargo.
In addition to container cargo, PLP also handles ro-ro cargo, refrigerated cargo and scrap metal. PLP is the largest ro-ro player in the North-West of Russia and owns the first large-scale ro-ro facility in St. Petersburg.
PLP is located on a 128 hectare land plot with an aggregate quay length of 2,201 metres.
PLP’s annual container capacity was approximately 1 million TEUs as at 31 March 2011.
The PLP terminal has good railway connections, direct access to major city roads, and will have a direct access to the Western High-Speed Diameter road, which is currently expected to be opened in 2012.
