VSC
The operations of GPI in the Far East Basin comprise the Group’s container terminal, VSC, at the deep water port of Vostochny located in the city of Nakhodka.
VSC is the largest container terminal in the Far East Basin by gross throughput. VSC is ice free all year round and has direct access to the TranSiberian Railway.
VSC's annual capacity as of 31 Dec 2008 was 550,000 TEUs.
VSC was the only purpose-built container terminal constructed in Soviet times. It was built to connect to the Trans-Siberian Railway and has been operating for over 25 years.
