Maersk Line Launches Service to Petrolesport

OJSC Petrolesport (“PLP”, a subsidiary of Global Ports Investments Plc) has been included into the service schedule of Maersk Line. PLP has become the second stevedoring company in the Bolshoy Port of Saint Petersburg where the vessels of the biggest world container shipping company from Rotterdam are calling.

The first vessel Maersk Valletta carrying 1,678 TEUs was handled at berths of Petrolesport on 3rd of October. Maersk Line's vessels will arrive at the PLP terminal on a weekly basis.

Background

OJSC Petrolesport (“PLP”) is the second largest stevedoring company in the St. Petersburg’s Bolshoy Port. PLP handling various kinds of cargo (containers, refrigerated, ro-ro, timber, general). PLP is one of the leading container terminals in the North West of Russia. OJSC Petrolesport is a subsidiart of the Global Ports Investments PLC.

Global Ports Investments Plc (GPI) is a group of companies that unites Russia’s leading container terminal operators and an oil/oil products terminal in Estonia.
