First Shipment of ROLF Logistic Passenger Vehicles Unloaded at Petrolesport Piers

Petrolesport and ROLF Logistic (part of the ROLF group) have entered into a contract under which Petrolesport will become the primary site for automobile dealers to import foreign manufactured passenger vehicles into the region. The five-year contract provides for furnishing an array of services for vehicle receipt and distribution. Pursuant to the contract, ROLF Logistic plans to increase the cargo traffic through PLP moorings up to 200,000 vehicles in 2009.

The WALLENIUS WILHELMSEN LOGISTICS maritime shipping company delivered the first shipment of 500 MITSUBISHI vehicles to Saint Petersburg from Kotka on the AUTOSUN cargo ship.

Inspection of incoming vehicles upon arrival of the vessel and distribution for land transport is being accomplished by SGS Inspection Services which provides similar services in a number of European ports. Customs clearing of the vehicles will be carried out while the vehicles are in port.

According to Stephen Fletcher, CEO of ROLF SCS, the agreement with OJSC Petrolesport will allow ROLF SCS to increase the number of passenger vehicles imported to Russia.
